Data Engineer | Remote

£45,000 DOE

A high-visibility opportunity to join an ambitious, values-led organisation as it refreshes its data strategy and modernises its intelligence platform. You’ll be trusted early, work closely with stakeholders, and help build the foundations that drive better insight, smarter decisions, and genuine impact.

Well suited to someone early in their data engineering journey, circa 2+ years’ experience, ready to step up. You’ll join a supportive environment with clear runway to grow technically, with increasing ownership as your influence across the business grows.

What you’ll be doing

  • Help shape and deliver a refreshed data strategy and analytics platform
  • Build reliable ELT/ETL pipelines into a cloud data warehouse, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
  • Design and optimise core data models, dimensional, analytics-ready, built to last
  • Create trusted data products enabling self-service analytics
  • Improve data quality, monitoring, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Partner with analysts, BI, and stakeholders to turn questions into robust data assets
  • Contribute to engineering standards, best practice, and reusable frameworks
  • Support responsible AI tooling, including programmatic LLM workflows where appropriate

What you’ll bring

  • 2+ years’ experience in data engineering within a modern data stack
  • Strong SQL, solid foundations in data modelling
  • Python preferred, or similar, for automation and pipeline development
  • Cloud exposure across AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with tools like dbt, Airflow, or equivalents
  • Good habits around governance, security, documentation, Git, and CI/CD
