About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Software Developer to support our research initiatives focused on mobile health applications at the University of Kentucky. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research by developing custom mobile applications compatible with iOS and Android platforms. The role involves managing secure databases containing sensitive data, creating web interfaces for applications, and translating complex software concepts into understandable presentations for diverse audiences. As part of a collaborative team, you will participate in monthly alliance meetings to communicate technical ideas effectively. This position is fully remote, providing flexibility to work from anywhere, and plays a vital role in supporting research grants and advancing mobile health technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Proven experience in mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms
• Strong knowledge of cross-platform mobile development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter)
• Full-stack development experience including web interface creation
• Proficiency in SQL database management and development
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
