Senior Network Consultant - VMware NSX & Cloud Foundation

Role overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Consultant to join our team supporting VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployment and enablement of projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in VMware NSX, AVI Load Balancer, and/or vDefend technologies, with a proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-grade network virtualization solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and configure NSX-T Data Center environments including overlay networks, edge clusters, and transport zones.
• Implement NSX Federation for multi-site architectures and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Deploy and configure AVI Load Balancer (NSX Advanced Load Balancer) for application delivery.
• Design and implement micro-segmentation strategies using NSX Distributed Firewall.
• Configure vDefend security components including Gateway Firewall, IDS/IPS, and Malware Prevention.

• Perform network virtualization troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Integrate NSX with physical network infrastructure and third-party solutions.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Collaborate with customer teams and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware networking technologies.
• Deep expertise in one or more areas: NSX, AVI Load Balancer, vDefend.
• Experience with enterprise-scale deployments (500+ hosts or equivalent).
• VCAP-NV or VCIX-NV certifications (may be up to a few years old, provided experience remains current).
