Job Description
🤩 Would you like to play with us?
Whatwapp is a leading mobile game company in Italy with three major titles, focusing on casual games. The company, comprising around fifty diverse team members, operates in English and supports hybrid work options (4 days per month in Milan). Whatwapp is transitioning from a startup to a scale-up, aiming to expand globally and innovate within the gaming industry. We encourage a flat hierarchy, allowing rapid idea execution and learning opportunities directly from our leaders, with a commitment to the personal and professional growth of our employees.
We're looking for a User Acquisition Manager to take ownership of our paid growth efforts across multiple games. Reporting to our Head of Growth, you'll be responsible for managing campaigns end-to-end, optimizing performance, and scaling our UA activity profitably.
Why this role is exciting:
- Variety & ownership — Manage 7 games at different lifecycle stages (soft launches, scaling titles, mature portfolio games). In bigger companies you'd focus on one or two; here you get the full picture.
- Strong data stack — Work with a modern analytics setup, great internal tools, and a dedicated Data team that builds prediction models and dashboards with you.
- AI-forward environment — We actively use AI tools for creative production, automation, and workflow optimization. You'll be encouraged to experiment and push boundaries.
- Real budget responsibility — We spend hundreds of thousands of dollars per month across all games and growing. You'll make meaningful decisions that directly impact the business.
- Scale-up energy — We're transitioning from startup to scale-up, which means less bureaucracy, more ownership, and real opportunities to shape how we do things.
The ideal candidate has solid experience running UA campaigns for mobile games, is comfortable navigating the post-ATT world of iOS attribution, and brings a proactive mindset—always looking for the next insight or optimization opportunity.
📈 Your quest will be to:
- Own and manage UA campaigns across Meta, Google, AppLovin, Unity, and other key platforms for our portfolio of 7 games, ensuring profitability targets are met.
- Analyze campaign performance deeply, going beyond surface metrics to understand why campaigns work or don't—and take decisive action based on those insights.
- Manage budgets autonomously, making day-to-day decisions on spend allocation, scaling winners, and cutting underperformers to hit ROS targets
- Collaborate closely with the Creative team, providing clear, actionable feedback on ad creatives and coordinating refresh cycles to maintain campaign freshness.
- Navigate iOS attribution challenges, working with AppsFlyer, SKAN, and SSOT to make informed decisions despite data limitations.
- Identify new opportunities proactively - whether that's an underexplored channel, a creative angle that's working in an unexpected placement, or a tracking issue that needs fixing.
- Contribute to scaling efforts, helping grow monthly spend while maintaining or improving profitability as the company expands.
- Stay ahead of platform changes, keeping up with updates from Meta, Google, Apple, and other partners that impact UA strategy.

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with dashboards, spreadsheets, and fragmented attribution data to drive decisions.
- Solid understanding of iOS attribution, including SKAN, ATT, MMPs (AppsFlyer or Adjust), and the challenges of post-iOS 14.5 measurement.
- Experience managing budgets of hundreds of thousands of dollars across multiple titles.
- Proven ability to work with creative teams, providing specific feedback that improves ad performance.
- Fluency in English (our working language).
- Experience with vibe coding is a strong plus
✨ Bonus points if you have:

👤 The type of player we are looking for:
- Autonomous and accountable — you own your campaigns fully and don't wait to be told what to do.

- Collaborative — you work well with Creative, Data, and Product teams, sharing knowledge openly.
- A game lover — you understand what makes mobile games fun and engaging.
- Hungry to grow — you want to develop your skills and take on more responsibility over time.
