About the Job

OffSec is seeking a passionate Community Engagement Manager to design, lead, and

scale programs that connect, engage, and empower 100K+ members worldwide.

This role will focus on building and sustaining regional chapters as well as growing our

Discord community into a vibrant, trusted, and inspiring space. The ideal candidate is an

innovator who thrives on creating authentic engagement, recognition programs, and

collaborative experiences.

Duties and responsibilities

Chapter Building

● Launch and support new chapters in priority regions (e.g., EU/US), building

localized hubs while aligning with OffSec’s global strategy.

● Identify, onboard, and empower ambassadors to lead meetups, events, and

community initiatives.

● Oversee chapter activities such as sponsored meetups, voucher giveaways, and

regional recognition programs.

● Maintain dedicated chapter webpages and recognition systems to highlight

ambassador contributions and chapter milestones.

● Collaborate with Marketing and external partners to sponsor official conferences

and events, ensuring alignment with OffSec’s brand.

● Monitor chapter health, engagement, and growth; provide regular reporting on

key metrics.

Discord Community Building

● Drive Discord membership to 100K+ through targeted campaigns, sponsored

events, and chapter tie-ins.

● Recruit and manage regional moderators to ensure full coverage, community

safety, and adherence to standards.

● Design and run recurring activities such as AMAs, weekly office hours, live Q&A

sessions, and quarterly competitions.

● Lead recognition initiatives (Community Companions, High Fives, Learner

Spotlights) to showcase authentic learner journeys.

● Partner with Product and Content teams to involve community members in beta testing,

feedback cycles, and co-created blogs.

● Track activity, engagement, and sentiment across Discord, sharing actionable

insights with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

● 3–5 years of proven experience in community management, engagement

programs, or related roles.

● Demonstrated ability to grow and manage large-scale communities (online and

offline).

● Strong organizational and program management skills with attention to detail.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with

global audiences.

● Experience managing volunteers, ambassadors, or moderators.

● Familiarity with Discord, community engagement best practices, and current

trends in online communities.

● Strategic mindset with proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes.

Working conditions

● Full-time, salaried position.

● Flexible hours, with occasional evenings or weekends required.

● Primarily remote (home office), with on-site presence required during certain

events.

Physical requirements

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, extensive reading, and visual inspection involving small defects. This is sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
