We're working with Amazon Web Services on this exciting opportunity. Join a pioneering team launching the European Sovereign Cloud, building and evolving high-availability AWS services for EU customers. This is a critical role to influence the future of cloud computing infrastructure.

The Role

• Lead operations and development for high-availability AWS services within the European Sovereign Cloud.

• Oversee the launch of the ESC in 2025, collaborating with global AWS teams.

• Contribute to enhancing daily operations, availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.

• Influence the evolution of AWS services and technology.

• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents and ensure system resilience.

• Educate other service teams on the complexities of the European Sovereign Cloud.

What You'll Need

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Must be a national of an EU member state and residing in the EU.

• Expertise in systems engineering, including hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.

• Experience scripting with languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.

• Solid understanding of Linux and networking, with strong troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to lead the creation and improvement of standard operational procedures (SOPs).
