Opportunity
Our Client is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, operate, and continuously improve cloud environments that support critical business and mission workloads. In this role, you will build scalable, secure, and resilient solutions on Amazon Web Services, with a strong focus on automation, operational efficiency, and reliability. You will work hands-on with a broad range of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, and databases, while defining infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code rather than manual configurations. The role involves implementing automated workflows, batch processing, and modern CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and dependable application delivery. You will also establish monitoring, logging, and audit capabilities to ensure visibility, compliance, and security, applying cloud security best practices to protect data and workloads.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience in cloud engineering
- Hands-on experience building observability solutions, including metrics, logging, and auditing in AWS
- Proven experience automating cloud operations and batch processing workflows
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code and code-driven cloud management
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and industry-recognized security controls
- Experience integrating build, test, and deployment pipelines into cloud architectures
- Working knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, and database services
- AWS certifications or equivalent professional credentials preferred
- Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher
- U.S. citizenship required due to government contract
