This role will see you joining an established Insurance business as a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer taking ownership of their Microsoft-focused estate. You will be a trusted senior leader, stepping into a hands‑on, senior technical role where you will become the go‑to expert for cloud, infrastructure, identity, and security across the business. Giving you a real chance to own and grow the Infrastructure estate.

You’ll join a modern, secure, and well‑architected environment including Entra Global Secure Access and Zero Trust Network Architecture. You’ll continue to maintain and evolve this, while supporting the technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Azure cloud services, VMs, Virtual Networks, and core infrastructure.
• Oversee Microsoft Entra identity and security, including Conditional Access and Zero Trust.
• Support and manage Microsoft Defender and related cyber tooling.
• Maintain a stable, well-configured Entra Global Secure Access environment.
• Ensure ongoing performance, reliability, and security of servers and services.
• Contribute to and support VMware-to-Azure migration initiatives.
• Provide input into Azure architecture and infrastructure improvements.
• Support legacy Windows applications and integrations with Snowflake teams.

Your skills and experience:

• Strong experience across infrastructure and cloud engineering.
• Good Microsoft background: Azure, Entra, Defender, VMs, VNets.
• Familiarity with VMware estates and experience migrating to Azure (advantageous).
• Solid networking knowledge and well-rounded infrastructure experience.
• PowerShell scripting ability.
• Understanding of Terraform and CI/CD concepts.
• Comfortable working with both modern cloud platforms and on premise infrastructure.
