A high-end design-build firm specializing in full-service residential remodeling and custom home projects is looking for a Architect or Interior Designer based in Latin America. This is a remote role supporting elegant, high-value home transformations for a U.S. clientele known for their taste and expectations.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

1️⃣ Concept-to-Construction Design

• Develop complete architectural and interior design packages for remodels, additions, and new construction.

• Deliver detailed 2D construction drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details).

• Produce fully rendered 3D visualizations with actual specified finishes applied to the correct locations.

2️⃣ Fully Defined Design Packages

• Specify every material, finish, fixture, and product—including make, model, color, size, and location—within the signed design package.

• Ensure that no aspect of the project is left undefined prior to client sign-off.

• Include mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) integration details.

3️⃣ Code Compliance & Feasibility

• Design in strict compliance with U.S. building codes and regulations.

• Apply structural knowledge to anticipate feasibility of load-bearing wall modifications, window relocations, and other structural changes.

• Confirm compatibility of designs with existing MEP systems, calculating loads for electrical and gas service where necessary.

4️⃣ Vendor & Material Sourcing

• Source all fixtures, finishes, and materials from reliable local vendors to ensure realistic, timely, and cost-effective procurement.

• Maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and ensure availability.

5️⃣ Client Collaboration & Team Coordination

• Work directly with clients to understand vision, functional needs, and budget parameters.

• Present realistic, buildable concepts rather than unfeasible “fantasy” designs.

• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to finalize drawings before submission for engineering approval.

🎓 Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 7+ years in architectural and interior design for U.S. residential projects.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field; structural engineering coursework or experience highly preferred.

• 💻 Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering software (Lumion, Enscape, etc.).
• Expert in preparing both 2D construction drawings and photorealistic 3D renderings.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. construction methods, codes, and permitting processes.
• Understanding of MEP integration and basic structural calculations.
