Senior React & Electron Developer

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on an AI-powered co-pilot for game development, focusing on enhancing desktop application functionality across macOS and Windows. You will be responsible for refining UI/UX, providing architectural guidance, maintaining release pipelines, and performing deep performance optimizations in a complex multi-process environment. The position emphasizes collaboration, technical mastery, and delivering seamless developer experiences. Accountabilities

• Enhance and expand the functionality of the core desktop application using React and Electron.
• Refine UI/UX to provide a seamless experience for end users, leveraging modern frontend technologies like React 18 and Tailwind.
• Provide architectural consulting for desktop-to-backend integration, including Electron IPC, contextBridge security, and native interop with Python/FastAPI.
• Manage release workflows, build pipelines, and platform-specific bundling for macOS and Windows, ensuring stable updates and notarization/code signing compliance.
• Perform performance optimizations, including IPC communication and resource management in multi-process applications.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain code quality, consistency, and best practices across projects.
• Support adoption of AI agentic workflows, LangGraph, or Model Context Protocol implementations where applicable.
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in Electron and React development.
• Advanced knowledge of Electron, including IPC, process lifecycles, and contextBridge security.
• Proficiency in React 18, TypeScript, and state management libraries such as Jotai or Zustand.
• Experience with complex bundling using electron-builder, including handling external runtimes like Python or .NET.
• Familiarity with native interop protocols such as ZeroMQ, IPC File Bus, or WebSockets.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in a distributed team environment.
• Nice-to-have: experience with AI workflows (MCP, LangGraph), macOS notarization, and Windows code signing.
