About the role
AI Superior is an AI agency founded in 2019, and has been providing AI development and consulting already long before the GenAI hype. Our clients range from small startups over NGOs to international corporations such Boehringer Ingelheim, and we support these from building proof of concepts up to production systems - covering topics such as Data Science, Machine Learning, and general AI consulting.
We are working fully remotely with a presence all over Europe, but are originally based in Germany. While we expect a high level of independence of our team members, you will find flat hierarchies with high flexibility.
We are looking for a strong Senior Data Scientist who brings solid expertise and experience to our team to allow us to grow further and provide excellent services to our customers.Â
You have ideally already gained technical lead experience and are able to support in the oversight within our projects.
Responsibilities
- You structure, manage, and lead client activities, including data science & machine learning projects, as well as internal research
- You take an active role in technically guiding and mentoring your junior colleagues, drive technical discussions as well as review code and technical approaches
- You are on top of state-of-the-art-technologies and assess these for being applicable to our customer use cases
- You support our presales team with developing potential use cases and project ideas, as well as in the offer creation

Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial experience in an ML/AI-related environment
- MSc/Ph.D. in Mathematics, Optimization, (Electrical) Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Physics, or another related field
- Strong expertise in Python and main data science libraries
- Experience in software development, designing, and scaling productive ML pipelines & systems
- Deep expertise in one of the domains: Computer Vision, NLP (incl. LLM-based) or Sensor Data Analysis
- Strong communication, writing & presentation skills, business fluent English
- Working with a high degree of self-responsibility and a goal-oriented approach
