Job Title: Test Analyst

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract (Permanent option available if preferred)

Duration: 6–12 months (with possible extension or permanent transition)

Location: Fully Remote

Daily Rate / Salary: Flexible

Client: Major Italian Financial Institution

Role Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Test Analyst to support a large-scale IT programme within a leading Italian financial institution.

This role is ideal for a professional with solid hands-on testing experience who is confident operating independently while collaborating closely with development teams and business stakeholders.

The client is open to engaging the right candidate on either a freelance contract basis or permanent employment, depending on preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse functional and business requirements to support effective test design
• Define, design, and maintain test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices
• Execute manual functional testing activities
• Identify, manage, and track defects throughout the full defect lifecycle
• Produce and maintain test documentation in line with internal standards
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure delivery quality

Must Have Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in test design and test execution (mid-level seniority)
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including:
• Test case design
• Test execution
• Defect lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as:
• Excel
