Client Company Introduction:

Hiring for an award winning experiential marketing services agency providing clients out of the box digital integrated marketing services.

Role Purpose

The Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all operational aspects of events, ensuring seamless delivery from concept to dismantling. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, vendor control, cost management, and client-facing professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

1. Event Operations & Delivery

- Oversee end-to-end execution of events from pre-production to post-event dismantling

- Translate creative concepts into practical, executable setups

- Manage multiple events simultaneously under tight timelines

2. Printing & Production Management

- Supervise all printing processes (indoor/outdoor branding, vinyl, banners, fabric, rigid boards, etc.)

- Ensure accuracy in sizes, color matching, materials, and finishing

- Coordinate timelines between design, print, and installation teams

3. Fabrication & Workshop Oversight

- Manage fabrication processes, including:

o CNC routing

o Woodwork & carpentry

o Metal fabrication

o Signage and custom structure builds

- Review fabrication drawings and BOQs before production

- Ensure structural safety, finish quality, and durability

4. Event Setup & On-Ground Execution

- Lead all on-site setups, rehearsals, and breakdowns

- Manage rigging, stage builds, trussing, backdrops, and branding installs

- Ensure health & safety compliance during installations

5. Technical Production

- Oversee deployment and operation of:

o LED screens (indoor & outdoor)

o Sound systems

o Lighting systems

o Power distribution

- Coordinate with technicians for testing, rehearsals, and live show operations

6. Client Management

- Act as the primary operations contact for clients during execution

- Attend client meetings and site visits when required

- Manage expectations, timelines, and last-minute changes professionally

7. Vendor & Team Management

- Manage in-house teams and external vendors

- Negotiate costs, timelines, and deliverables

- Ensure vendors meet quality and safety standards

8. Budget & Cost Control

- Prepare and control operational budgets

- Monitor costs, minimize wastage, and ensure profitability

- Approve vendor invoices and production expenses

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Minimum 8–12 years of hands-on experience in event operations

- Proven experience in:

o Printing production

o Fabrication (wood, metal, CNC, signage)

o Large-scale event setups

o LED screens & sound systems

- Strong understanding of materials, structures, and production workflows

- Experience managing large teams and tight deadlines

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong leadership & team management

- Excellent planning & organizational skills

- Technical understanding of event production

- Client-facing communication skills

- Cost control & negotiation skills

- Ability to work under pressure and long event hours

Preferred Profile

- Background in events, exhibitions, experiential marketing, or production houses

- Experience working on corporate events, brand activations, exhibitions, and large setups

- Based in or willing to work extensively in Tanzania / East Africa

Reporting Line

- Reports directly to: Managing Director / Founder

Engagement Type

Full-time

Highly hands-on, execution-driven role

Work Timings: Flexible (depends on events)
