Data Scientist - Business Intelligence

We are seeking a Data Scientist – Business Intelligence to join our growing BI organization. In this role, you will help power predictive intelligence across the company through the development of statistical and machine learning models. You will collaborate with BI analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights that help strengthen data-informed decision making. The ideal candidate is a hands-on modeler who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about transforming business questions into data-driven solutions.

Your impact:

• Strategic Problem Solving
• Complete exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clearly defined modeling challenges with measurable outcomes.

• Model Development & Deployment
• Design, build, and validate statistical, predictive, and machine learning models to drive business insights and automation.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for modeling.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize models and integrate them into business workflows and dashboards.

• Innovation & Best Practices
• Promote rigorous methodology, model interpretability, and transparent communication of findings.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging techniques in machine learning, forecasting, and AI.
  

About you:

• Education in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied statistics.
• Experience with analytics and modeling of large-scale datasets.
• (Preferred) Experience with MLOps, model evaluation and monitoring, or deploying models in production environments is a plus.
• (Preferred) Experience in foodservice, distribution, or supply chain domains is a plus.
• (Preferred) Familiarity with Tableau is a plus.

• Understanding of statistical modeling, time series forecasting, and/or supervised learning techniques.
• Ability to identify and evaluate hypothesis in data analysis and modeling.
• Strong proficiency in Python (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels) and SQL for analysis, model building, and data visualization.
• Ability to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
