General Description
We are supporting a leading investment and asset management organization in the Middle East and are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (Azure Platform) to join their team on a contract basis.
This role will focus on managing and optimizing enterprise-grade Microsoft Azure infrastructure, supporting multi-environment deployments (Dev/UAT/Prod), and maintaining CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.
You will play a key role in ensuring cloud platform stability, security, and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote setup aligned to UAE working hours.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on Azure Platform / DevOps Engineer with strong infrastructure and system administration expertise who thrives in a contract environment and is comfortable working independently within a distributed team.
This is a 6-month remote contract role aligned to UAE working hours (Full Day Schedule).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and optimize Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS).
- Configure and maintain Azure networking components (VNet, NSG, Load Balancer, VPN, Private Endpoints).
- Manage and update Azure DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) across Dev, UAT, and Production environments.
- Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform / ARM / Bicep where applicable).
- Administer Azure Active Directory (AAD), RBAC, identity, and access controls.
- Support system administration tasks across Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Monitor and enhance platform performance using Azure Monitor and related tools.
- Ensure security best practices, compliance alignment, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and support release cycles.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve automation and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience as an Azure DevOps / Azure Platform Engineer (4–8+ years preferred).
- Proven experience managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (YAML-based pipelines preferred).
- Experience managing multi-environment deployments (Dev / UAT / Production).
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking (VNet, NSG, Load Balancer, VPN).
- Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD), RBAC, and identity management.
- Strong system administration background (Windows Server and/or Linux).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, etc.).
- Ability to work independently in a contract-based, fast-paced environment.
