Job Description
Are you a Data Scientist passionate about building AI algorithms that directly impact clinical decision-making and next-generation healthcare products?
We are looking for someone to design, develop, and validate AI algorithms within medical imaging and clinical domains, while also exploring how Generative AI can enhance engineering and quality processes. This is more than just training models - it’s about shaping clinical products, collaborating with physicians, and embedding AI into regulated, real-world healthcare environments.
We’re supporting a global healthcare technology leader as they explore how AI can be strategically integrated into both medical products and internal engineering workflows.
What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, and validate machine learning and deep learning algorithms for medical imaging applications such as chest X-ray and CT.
- Work closely with radiologists, cardiologists, and clinical experts to define high-quality ground truth datasets and support structured data acquisition workflows.
- Train, evaluate, and optimise models using real-world clinical datasets while ensuring robustness and reproducibility.
- Explore and implement Generative AI use cases to support engineering and quality teams, including documentation automation, release notes generation, and regulatory artefact support.
- Contribute to feasibility assessments for new clinical AI use cases and help shape strategic decisions around AI investment and capability build-out. Collaborate with quality and regulatory stakeholders to ensure AI solutions align with medical device compliance standards.
- Communicate technical trade-offs and model performance clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
