Position: Marketing & Communications Business Partner

Location: Fairfax Co. 100% Onsite - (not remote/hybrid)

Qualifications:

  • Applicants selected must have a MINIMUM of 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications; Master's degree is preferred.
  • MUST HAVE experience consulting for a professional services, technology or AEC firm
  • The Automation/Engineering (A/E) industry (specifically more on the Construction, power systems, utilities side) would provide a direct correlation to the work they do and the customers they do work with.
  • Applicants that have a stronger marketing background than they’ve had event planning, editorial management or social media.
  • Experience with marketing analytics is nice to have but most important is work on true tactical marketing deliverables (sales tools, strategy development, engagement, etc.)
  • Experience with coaching/training is preferred (there's a lot of customer meeting prep, brainstorm enabling that would be needed).


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing & Communications Business Partner, who is eager to grow and advance quickly!! Advance strategic, integrated marketing communications campaign efforts for high-growth strategic business unit(s) and/or corporate communications programs. The specialist will advance strategic initiatives and support department leadership in advancing our company's marketing maturity. The marketing and communications department operates in a highly collaborative structure that requires each of us to support other members of the team responsible for driving high-priority initiatives. The specialist will be called upon to lead projects and initiatives as well as support programs led by other members of the team.


Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience consulting for a professional services, technology or AEC firm

Corporate Marketing & Sales Enablement:

  • Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Work with the department leadership to formulate and implement market-specific, omni-channel (earned, owned, shared and paid) marketing and communications campaigns. The specialist will lead several assigned 'beats' and will support one or more campaigns each year working closely with operational leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Marketing Events and Promotions (Virtual and In-Person): Plan, manage and develop annual conferences, events, and award submissions and department calendars. Lead client-focused marketing and corporate communications activities through the development of print, digital and multimedia marketing toolkit materials and management of virtual and in-person client-, employee- and recruiting-focused tradeshows and events.
  • Sales Integration and Marketing Platform Enhancements: Support development and launch of new website, CRM, and social media integrations and enhancements to advance direct client marketing efforts. Participate in and facilitate functional cross-training initiatives to share successes and best practices across the marketing and communications function and with operational stakeholders.

Branding & Corporate Communications:

  • Branding: Provide brand stewardship through all marketing and communications activities. Support brand consistency, training and resource development for the upcoming brand refresh and roll out across web, social and internal communications platforms.
  • Editorial: Prepare communications and collateral for internal and external audiences. Work with internal stakeholders to write news stories, marketing collateral, presentations, video scripts and displays. The specialist will support quality control and editing of internal and external news stories, as well as print and digital content.
  • Change Management: Lead change communications campaigns, including message development, employee engagement, and promotional launches for priority human resources, information technology, and safety initiatives.

Research & Reporting:

  • Marketing Intelligence Support: Support department market intelligence, competitive analysis and market segmentation research and reporting efforts.
  • Department Reporting: Work with the marketing and communications leadership to establish campaign metrics. Gather quantitative and qualitative data to obtain feedback on marketing and communications activities and strategies. Present findings and make recommendations for further action. Provide input for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with U.S. federal contracting
  • Demonstrated expertise working with highly technical content and tailoring information for both lay and specialized audiences
  • Excellent written communications skills with mastery of AP Style guidelines
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns as an external or in-house consultant
  • Experience managing marketing and employee events, site tours and demonstrations
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and website content management systems
  • Experience with web analytics and media and social media distribution and tracking tools
  • Must enjoy working with information that is technical in nature and have the ability to tailor that information for both lay and specialized audiences
  • Highly collaborative team player willing to jump in to support others on the team
  • Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and creatively solve problems
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with research experience
  • Ability to travel
  • Applicant selected must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
