We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team. This role combines strong technical expertise with direct interaction with business stakeholders, contributing to the design, development, deployment, and support of enterprise-grade solutions in a critical production environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production support, and has experience in containerized environments and batch processing systems.

Note: this role requires relocation to Málaga, Spain. While the relocation process is completed, the selected candidate will work remotely on Spanish working hours (CET). Once in Málaga, the position will transition to a hybrid model (onsite + remote).However, there is also the possibility to perform this role remotely from Colombia, also following Spanish working hours (CET). We are open to both modalities depending on the selected profile.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements directly with end clients and business stakeholders.
• Design functional and technical solutions within MOM Extraco applications.
• Develop backend and frontend components using modern technologies.

• Define and maintain Job as Code for batch scheduling and orchestration using Control‑M.
• Perform testing activities and produce clear technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and incident resolution in production environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (development, QA, operations, and architecture) to ensure smooth integration and deployment of solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• + 6 years of experiencie in similar roles
• Senior-level developer with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Experience supporting applications in production-critical environments

Technical Skills

• Java – Advanced level
• Spring Boot – Advanced level
• OpenShift – Advanced level (containerized environments and deployments)
• SQL Server – Advanced level
• Control‑M – Intermediate level (job scheduling and batch processes)
• Angular – Intermediate level
• English – Advanced (B2+)

Nice to Have

• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments (e.g., banking or financial services).
• Exposure to event-driven or messaging architectures (e.g., Kafka) is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
