About the RoleWe're looking for a tech-savvy IT Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in IT systems and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Tier 1 & Tier 2 Technical Support
- Provide responsive remote and onsite assistance for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and excellent user experience.
- Support Modern Workplace Technologies
- Troubleshoot and maintain standard operating systems, productivity suites, collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365), and endpoint devices including PCs, laptops, and servers.
- Hardware Deployment & Lifecycle Management
- Perform installations, relocations, and upgrades of PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other end-user devices, following best practices for asset tracking.
- Server & Application Setup
- Install and configure operating systems and application software on physical and virtual server platforms based on client or organizational requirements.
- Network & Security Device Installation
- Deploy and maintain network-attached assets such as firewalls, switches, printers, and wireless access points, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Proactive Network Monitoring & Management
- Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and implement preventative measures to maintain optimal uptime and security.
- Maintain Accurate Technical Documentation
- Create and update documentation for systems, processes, and configurations to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, providing clear updates, guidance, and technical advice.

Essential skills:
- Proven IT Support Experience
- 3+ Years providing Level 1 & 2 support or systems administration across diverse environments.
- Level 1 & 2 Support Experience
- Candidates must demonstrate both help desk support and systems administration experience.
- Multi-Platform Expertise
- Strong familiarity with Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems, including troubleshooting and configuration.
- Networking & Cloud Fundamentals
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and experience with cloud-based tools and services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure).
- Cybersecurity Awareness
- Knowledge of basic security principles, patching, and endpoint protection.
- Organizational & Time Management Skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Project Coordination Exposure
- Experience supporting IT projects or rollouts is advantageous.
- Excellent Communication & Problem-Solving
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear language for non-technical users.
- Collaboration & Independence
- Comfortable working autonomously and as part of cross-functional teams.
- Valid NSW Class C Driver's License
- Required for onsite support and client visits.
- Australian Work Rights
- Candidates must possess valid Australian work rights for this position.

- Formal IT Qualifications or Training Commitment
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Fundamentals are highly regarded.
- Microsoft 365 & Azure Experience
- Hands-on experience with administration, security, and troubleshooting within Microsoft cloud platforms.
- MSP/TSP Background
- Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider or Technology Service Provider environment.
- ITSM Tools Familiarity
- Exposure to ticketing systems like Autotask or ConnectWise.
- Virtualization & Remote Management
- Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, or remote monitoring tools.
- Scripting & Automation Basics
- Ability to use PowerShell or similar tools for routine task automation.
