Analyze and interpret datasets using statistical techniques, machine learning, and programming skills.
Undertake the processing of multiple datasets to analyze large amounts of information to identify trends and patterns.
Prepare and deliver analysis results in visual and written forms for technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs for complex business requirements.
Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms, integrating them into existing systems or creating new products.
Direct data science assignments, projects, visualization tasks, and data quality improvements.
Lead efforts to resolve and document solutions for incident management.
Coach and mentor team members on new technologies and best practices.
Support the advancement of the strategic roadmap for data science.

Job Description


Compensation Range: $110,000.00/year to $139,800.00/year, up to 10% bonus


Summary

  • Location: Oshkosh, WI strongly preferred (3 days in office, up to 2 days remote).
  • Frederick, MD will also be considered for strong candidates, but only onsite option (3 days in office, up to 2 days remote).
  • Relocation offered.
  • Travel: minimum travel (1-2 times per year to other sites).
  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

  • Analyze and interpret datasets using statistical techniques, machine learning, and programming skills.
  • Undertake the processing of multiple datasets to analyze large amounts of information to identify trends and patterns.
  • Prepare and deliver analysis results in visual and written forms for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs for complex business requirements.
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms, integrating them into existing systems or creating new products.
  • Direct data science assignments, projects, visualization tasks, and data quality improvements.
  • Lead efforts to resolve and document solutions for incident management.
  • Coach and mentor team members on new technologies and best practices.
  • Support the advancement of the strategic roadmap for data science.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with five (5) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Experience from manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or engineering industry is preferred.
  • Supply chain functions experience is important.
  • This is an individual contributor role; not suitable for director level or management-focused candidates.


Required Skills

  • Familiarity with data science tools, such as Azure Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Office, Spark, Python, R, and C.
  • Strong business experience working with business counterparts.
  • Ability to gather business requirements, build solutions, and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to tell a story with data.
  • Understanding of business processes and a center of excellence outlook.


Preferred Skills

  • Master's or doctorate degree.
  • Expertise in Power Platforms.
  • Familiarity with LLM (open source or closed).
