About the Company

Our client is an international data‑center developer and operator experiencing rapid expansion across Asia Pacific. The organization is building a modern portfolio of multi‑megawatt data center facilities and is establishing Bangkok as a key regional operations hub.

The company supports a mix of enterprise, cloud, and hyperscale customers and is focused on delivering high‑availability, carrier‑neutral, high‑density environments. They are now seeking a senior operations leader to scale and standardize operations as new sites come online across the region.

Role Overview

The Vice President, Operations, APAC will oversee operational performance, engineering reliability, service delivery, and team leadership across a growing portfolio of data centers in the region. The role includes accountability for uptime, safety, vendor management, and operational readiness for new builds entering live service.

This position suits an experienced operator who has led mission‑critical environments, scaled multi‑site teams, and implemented consistent operating frameworks in fast‑growth organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations across multiple APAC data center sites, ensuring consistent standards and high availability.
• Own uptime, reliability, incident response, and continuous improvement of critical infrastructure and facility operations.
• Oversee operational readiness for new data center launches, including staffing, training, SOPs, and commissioning handover.
• Drive customer experience excellence and act as senior escalation point for operational matters.
• Manage vendors, maintenance partners, contracts, and regional OPEX budgets.
• Ensure strong governance across safety, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and develop multi‑country operations teams, driving capability, performance, and succession.
• Contribute to regional strategy, operational planning, and scalable processes across the APAC portfolio.

Requirements

• 15+ years of mission‑critical operations experience, with significant tenure in data center operations.
• Demonstrated leadership of multi‑site or regional operations teams.

• Deep technical knowledge of power, cooling, BMS/controls, and critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong background in incident response, risk management, SLA governance, and operational compliance.
• Experience managing commissioning and operational readiness for new data centers.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally in fast‑scaling, high‑growth organizations.
• Strong commercial acumen and budget ownership experience.
• Excellent communication skills; English fluency required. Thai language is advantageous.

Preferred Background

• Leadership experience in colocation, hyperscale cloud DC operations, telecom data centers, or mission‑critical engineering environments.
• Experience in Southeast Asia or broader APAC markets.
