Job Description


Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with deep telecommunications expertise to lead a resiliency analysis across On-Premises, Hybrid Cloud, and Public Cloud network environments. The primary focus is identifying and remediating Single Points of Failure (SPOF) and Points of Entry (POE), with particular emphasis on telco circuit diversity, physical path analysis, and vendor coordination. This role also carries program management responsibilities — tracking progress across infrastructure support teams and maintaining reporting metrics and dashboards for stakeholder visibility.


REMOTE- Must be based in the NY/NJ area and be available for occasional travel to California


What You'll Do

Resiliency Analysis & Architecture Review

  • Conduct detailed SPOF and POE analysis across On-Premises, Hybrid Cloud, and Public Cloud environments
  • Assess and document telco circuit diversity, vendor KMZ path analysis, Points of Entry, conduit routing, and patching infrastructure
  • Identify physical and logical resiliency gaps and develop actionable remediation recommendations
  • Coordinate with telco vendors and internal teams on provisioning, planning, and circuit diversity strategies

Program Tracking & Reporting

  • Manage and track progress of resiliency remediation programs across multiple infrastructure support teams
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reporting metrics, and progress summaries for leadership visibility
  • Coordinate workstreams across globally distributed teams, ensuring alignment and accountability

Lifecycle & Standards Management

  • Support hardware and software lifecycle management as part of remediation planning
  • Document current-state architecture and target-state recommendations


Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of hands-on, advanced networking experience with a strong telecommunications background
  • Deep expertise in network resiliency, telco provisioning and planning, and network security design
  • Hands-on experience with telco circuit diversity analysis, vendor KMZ path review, Points of Entry, conduit mapping, and physical patching infrastructure
  • Proven experience with hardware/software lifecycle management
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to track and report on complex, multi-team programs
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across global, cross-functional teams
  • Quick learner comfortable adopting new tools to support core program objectives
  • Must be located in the NY/NJ area with willingness to travel to California occasionally


Hands-on experience with the following technologies:

  • Telco: Provisioning & planning, circuit diversity, vendor coordination, KMZ path analysis, POE/conduit/patching
  • Traffic Analysis & Monitoring: Niksun, NetScout, Wireshark
  • Flow Analysis: NetFlow / Cisco StealthWatch


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, or similar) to support network analysis and reporting workflows
  • Familiarity with public cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Prior involvement in large-scale telco resiliency or diversity programs within complex enterprise environments
  • Relevant certifications: CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent
