Location: Relocation to Bulgaria, Sofia required (all relocation costs are covered by the employer)

Role Overview:

The Senior Windows Server Administrator with French will provide technical expertise in server administration and performance tuning, ensuring high availability and stable operations across supported systems. The role involves investigating incident tickets generated by monitoring systems to identify and resolve root causes.

No end-user calls are expected – communication is primarily via e-mail and telephone with internal IT teams and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Windows servers: restart services, check Event Viewer and system logs, monitor resource usage (CPU, RAM, file systems).
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system diagnostics.
  • Manage virtual environments using VMware vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, and similar technologies.
  • Identify and troubleshoot network issues involving OS, databases, and middleware.
  • Support and enforce Active Directory standards (naming conventions, delegation models, etc.).
  • Diagnose and coordinate the resolution of hardware failures with Data Center and Hardware teams.
  • Process alerts and tickets from monitoring tools, ensuring root cause analysis and proper escalation when necessary.
  • Handle e-mail service requests, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Collaborate with external and on-site resolution teams to maintain service levels.
  • Participate in ad-hoc activities such as assisting during outages or high ticket volumes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum B2 level of French and B1 level of English (written and spoken).
  • Proven 5+ years experience in Windows Server administration (2003/2008/2012/2022).
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and database technologies (MSSQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with backup software such as Data Protector, HPE StorageWorks, NetBackup, etc.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is an advantage.

The offer:

  • Full relocation support – all relocation expenses are covered by the employer.
  • Opportunity to join a global, multicultural environment.
  • Professional development and continuous learning in a high-tech setting.
  • Stable, long-term employment within a leading international company.
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture.
