Senior Business Analyst

Role: Business Analyst

What You Will Do
You will join an Agile product team implementing capabilities for an enterprise financial software system and web application. Your role balances high-level strategy with granular technical documentation.

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead a small BA team: Delegate epics and stories for refinement.
• Process Optimization: Partner with product leadership to improve requirements-gathering workflows.
• Roadmap Planning: Work with Architects and Tech Leads to execute the technical roadmap and recommend Agile team structures.
  

Agile Execution

• Backlog Management: Work with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to groom the backlog, plan Sprints, and ensure tasks are "Ready" before planning.
• User Stories: Convert business use cases into actionable technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Sprint Facilitation: Lead discussions with stakeholders to clarify scope and bridge the gap between business needs and dev tasks.
  

Documentation & Analysis

• System Analysis: Define information architecture, data flow diagrams, and functional specifications.

• Visual Modeling: Create flow charts, wireframes/mockups, and conceptual diagrams.
• Performance Tracking: Maintain project life-cycle documentation in Jira, Confluence, and Portfolio; use data-driven metrics to drive improvements.
  

What You Will Need (Required)
Experience & Education

• Background: Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of BA experience OR 3+ years of BA experience (no degree).
• Agile Expertise: Solid understanding of the Agile development life cycle and traditional project management.
  

Technical Skills

• Software: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Modeling Tools: Strong experience with Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools.
• DevOps: A general understanding of DevOps culture and tools.
  

Soft Skills

• Communication: Ability to translate complex technical problems for non-technical audiences.
• Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team.
• Vision: Ability to maintain "big-picture" strategy while managing granular details.
