Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement kdb+/q applications in line with requirements and technical standards
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support
• Collaborate with team members to deliver robust, scalable solutions and integrate new features
• Enhance and optimize code to efficiently process large volumes of real-time and historical data for reporting, analytics, and monitoring.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
• Assist in investigating and resolving production issues
• Support a collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge and communicating progress
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing with kdb+.
• Experience with kdb+ tick architecture
• Proficient in Linux environments
• Skilled in shell scripting
• Demonstrated ability to write high quality, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and business concepts quickly

Desired Skills

• Strong Python skills.
• Knowledge of C or C++.
• Proficient in working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with JIRA, GIT, and Bitbucket.
• Prior experience working in financial services or other finance domains.
