Job Description
π₯ WE'RE HIRING: PRODUCTION ASSISTANT (TECHNICAL) π₯
8Flamez (co-founded by AboFlah) is looking for a sharp, hands-on, borderline gear-obsessed Production Assistant to join the production team behind the biggest YouTuber in the Middle East.
WHO WE ARE
We're 8FLAMEZ, the Middle East's leading creator-first talent management and venture studio, co-founded by AboFlah (Hassan Suleiman), the region's most subscribed creator with 50+ million YouTube subscribers and 8 billion+ views. Two Guinness World Records. Over $20M raised for charity. Forbes 30 Under 30. And we're just getting started.
We're a lean, elite crew building the future of creator-led entertainment from our studio in Dubai. Every video we ship reaches millions. Every project pushes the bar.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll be the technical backbone of AboFlah's production set. The person who makes sure every camera is rolling, every light is dialed in, and every shoot runs like clockwork. This is a hands-on, on-set production role. You'll work across every stage of production:
Camera & Gear
- Set up, rig, and operate cameras across multi-cam studio shoots and location setups (cameras, action cams, drones- you'll touch it all)
- Swap lenses, mount cameras on tripods, gimbals, and specialty rigs, and ensure every angle is locked and ready before talent walks on set
- Manage all camera settings- resolution, frame rate, codec, white balance- per the shoot brief
Lighting
Searching for IT & Network Engineering roles that provide visa sponsorship? Connect with international employers through IT & Network Engineering Jobs with Visa Sponsorship opportunities actively seeking talented professionals.
- Build and adjust studio lighting setups - key, fill, back, accent using LED panels, soft boxes, and modifiers (Aputure, Godox, and similar systems)
- Rig C-stands, boom arms, and diffusion frames; run cables; control color temperature and intensity across the set
- Adapt lighting for different video formats: studio content, challenge builds, reaction setups, and location shoots
Audio
- Deploy and manage wireless lavalier systems, shotgun mics, and audio recorders
- Monitor audio levels during shoots, troubleshoot interference, and ensure clean capture across all sources
- Set up podcast/interview audio when needed (dynamic mics, preamps, interfaces)
Set & Studio
- Help build, dress, and strike sets for each video concept- AboFlah's content moves fast, and no two shoots look the same
- Manage props, backdrops, and set pieces; keep the studio organized and production-ready at all times
- Reset and reconfigure between segments and shooting days
π§ Equipment & Workflow
- Own the gear: maintain inventory, charge batteries, format media cards, organize storage, and flag anything that needs repair
- Handle media offloading - transfer footage to drives with verified backups and hand off organized files to the editorial team
- Support pre-production prep (gear pulls, equipment tests, location logistics) and post-production handoff

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 1β3 years of hands-on production experience on YouTube sets, digital content studios, commercial shoots, or similar fast-paced environments
- Real technical knowledge of camera systems: you understand sensors, lenses, codecs, frame rates, and log profiles, and you've worked with cinema or hybrid camera systems (Sony FX series, Canon C-line, Blackmagic, RED, or similar)
- Solid lighting fundamentals: you can build a three-point setup from scratch, work with modifiers, and adapt for different shooting scenarios
- Audio competence: you've wired up a lav, monitored levels on a recorder, and know how to keep a set sounding clean
- Grip and rigging skills: C-stands, clamps, flags, and sandbags aren't foreign to you
- Organized and proactive: you manage gear inventories, prep shoot days ahead of time, and solve problems before they become problems
- Physically capable: you can lift 25+ kg, stay on your feet for long shoot days, and work with heavy equipment
BONUS (not required, but we'll be impressed):
- Experience with live-streaming setups (OBS, vMix, ATEM switchers)
- Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or media management tools (ShotPut Pro, Hedge)
- Drone operation experience
- Working knowledge of Arabic (our content is Arabic-first)
- A UAE driving license
- You actually watch YouTube and you understand what makes a video work
