Collaborate with team members to implement and enforce IT policies and standards
Participate in IT projects such as OS refreshes, software rollouts, and technology upgrades

The Position:

We are hiring for a people-focuses Desktop Administrator to join our team in Spokane, WA. As the Desktop Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s end-user computing environment, including workstations, laptops, peripherals, and related software and services. The role ensures reliable, secure, and efficient operation of end-user devices and provides escalated support to resolve complex desktop issues.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows/macOS desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Deploy, update, and support standard desktop applications (Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, antivirus, etc.).
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory/Azure AD and related identity platforms.
  • Monitor and manage endpoint security tools (antivirus, EDR, disk encryption, patching).
  • Package and deploy software and updates using tools such as SCCM, Intune, or similar endpoint management platforms.
  • Maintain and document desktop images, build processes, and deployment standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1/ Tier 2 desktop, printer, and peripheral issues, escalating to system/network teams when needed.
  • Support remote users, VPN, and secure remote-access solutions.
  • Maintain asset inventory for end-user hardware and software, including lifecycle management and replacement planning.
  • Create and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and end-user guides.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement and enforce IT policies and standards.
  • Participate in IT projects such as OS refreshes, software rollouts, and technology upgrades.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during maintenance windows or critical incidents as required.

What We Are Seeking:

  • Must be a team player who takes a “we over me” approach to building and sustaining relationships with others.
  • Must be determined, ambitious, and self-motivated.
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience; high school diploma or equivalency certificate required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in desktop administration, desktop support, or similar IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration; basic familiarity with macOS a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and common productivity/collaboration tools.
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, group policy, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, JAMF, or similar) preferred.
  • Familiarity with security best practices, endpoint protection, and patch management preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, ITIL) are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills; must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and insured, operable vehicle.
