Senior SysAdmin - Security and Compliance

🚀 Aptitude Global is looking for a hands-on SysAdmin with a strong interest in security, governance, risk, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across internal Cloud-first infrastructure and Endpoint ecosystem, improving security practices, and supporting compliance and ISO requirements in a growing, fast-paced environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our internal security posture, supporting day-to-day operations such as identity and access management, device security, and compliance processes, as well as some aspects of operational support.

🔐 What do I need to do?

• From a security and compliance perspective, including:

• Manage identity and access processes such as SSO, MFA, password policies, and user lifecycle.

• Support encryption standards and secure configuration across systems and endpoints.

• Monitor devices and enforce security controls, including asset tracking, device management, and remote wiping.

• Maintain and improve endpoint and SaaS security tooling.

• Assist with vulnerability tracking, remediation, and basic risk monitoring.

• Support internal security awareness initiatives and training programs.

• Help maintain and update security policies and documentation.

• Contribute to ISO and other compliance activities, ensuring controls are implemented and evidence is collected.

• Support customer and supplier security questionnaires and due diligence processes.

• Work closely with the security and IT teams to improve automation and reduce manual tasks.

• Help ensure we remain compliant with ISO and other regulatory frameworks.

• Act as a point of contact for internal security queries and operational support.

💻 What skills and experience do I need?

• Experience in IT, SysAdmin, or security-related roles.

• We are fully remote with no physical premises – so familiarity working with remote access tools and MDM software is essential.

• Basic understanding of security fundamentals (identity, access, encryption, endpoint security).

• Experience with SaaS environments such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or similar.

• Familiarity with device management tools (MDM, EDR, etc.).

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work across multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn.

📚 I have probably got these qualifications:

• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC2, or similar.

• Experience with security awareness tools such as KnowBe4 or email security platforms.

• Interest in governance, risk, and compliance as a long-term career path.

• Background in regulated industries or tech/data companies.
