Automation Engineer (m/f/d)
QUDORA Technologies is a quantum technology start-up from Lower Saxony (Germany) developing full-stack quantum computers based on ion trap technology. Quantum computers hold the promise of outperforming today’s supercomputers within the next decade and solve some of the world’s most challenging problems by unleashing the power of quantum mechanics.
QUDORA and its patented technology belong to the spearhead of the German quantum computing landscape. We have won multiple projects and signed a contract to develop a quantum computer prototype for the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in context of the German Quantum Computing Initiative.

Your Responsibilities
Improving the reliability and up-time of our cloud-accessed quantum computers by
- Automating electrical and optomechanical components to perform adjustment routines
- Identifying components and defining procedures for time-efficient calibrations of sub-systems
- Programming and optimizing calibration pulse sequences on a trapped-ion quantum computer
- Creating a system-level status dashboard and calibration workflow for trapped-ion quantum computers

- At least 2 years of practical experience of automation in an R&D environment
- Experience with hardware-oriented programming
- Experience with real-time electronic control systems
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
