About the Opportunity
We are partnered with a growing, private equity–backed manufacturing company seeking a hands-on HR Manager to join their team. This HR Manager will serve as a trusted member of the plant leadership team, overseeing all human resources functions within the manufacturing facility. This role blends day-to-day HR execution with forward-thinking workforce strategy to support operational performance, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance. The position partners closely with plant leaders and maintains a strong floor presence to stay connected to the business and its people.
This position is 100% onsite at the plant location (Monday–Friday). Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

- Partner with Plant Manager and leadership team, aligning workforce strategy with operational, safety, and performance goals
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and succession planning initiatives
- Provide hands-on employee relations support
- Analyze workforce metrics (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, engagement)
- Oversee payroll coordination, benefits, leave administration, HRIS data integrity, and policy compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; support OSHA, workers’ compensation, and unemployment processes
- Identify skill gaps and support technical, compliance, and leadership training programs

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing or plant environment supporting an hourly workforce
- Strong employment law knowledge, ability to influence leaders, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, hands-on plant setting
- Experience in talent acquisition planning and execution in a manufacturing environment
- HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred
