FULLY REMOTE IN CANADA - Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer
This role is focused on production deployment oversight and reliability engineering rather than building infrastructure from scratch. Seeking for a senior resource with strong production experience to review, validate, and support the initial live deployment.
Role: Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer
- Engagement: Contract - 6 months to begin with and MUST be able to work EST hours
Location: Remote
Experience: Senior (5+ years AWS production experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Review Terraform plans and validate production infrastructure readiness
- Oversee the first production deployment in AWS
- Validate environment isolation and infrastructure stability
- Execute and document failover and resiliency drills (e.g., database and service recovery)Ensure containerized services deploy and run reliably
- Configure monitoring and alerting integrations
- Support performance testing and system tuning
- Participate in production launch activities and incident simulations
- Provide launch-day engineering support and post-launch recommendations
Required Skills

- 5+ years managing production AWS environments
