Role Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Brand Guardian / Design Director with around 10 years of experience, ideally with an extensive agency background. This role is perfect for a Senior Designer willing to step up and ensure he/she remains hands-on with design while also providing strategic direction.
A degree from a recognized arts college is preferred. The ideal candidate should be passionate about brand consistency, visual storytelling, and innovative design, balancing creative execution and leadership to elevate our brand identity.
Responsibilities
- Jump into client calls when needed, offering insights that keep things on track and ensuring our work aligns with their expectations. Lead internal calls with a clear focus, keeping discussions productive and action-driven.
- Own the more complex design tasks, jumping in when high-impact creative work needs a sharp eye and strong execution.
- Step in when any of the projects needs extra polish, fine-tuning key visuals to ensure everything is spot-on.
- Mentor the team regularly, running monthly training sessions on best practices, new tools, and trends to help everyone level up.
- Review the team’s overall progress every two weeks, ensuring everything is consistent, high-quality, and pushing creative boundaries.
- Give thoughtful, constructive feedback, helping the team refine their work.
- Ensure everything we create stays true to the brand, from colours and typography to imagery and overall tone.
- Work closely with production and account teams, turning briefs into standout visuals that don’t just meet client expectations but exceed them.
- Check everything before it goes out, ensuring designs and campaigns are brand-compliant, on point regarding aesthetics, and effective.
- Stay on top of any brand updates and ensure that the team is also updated on them.
- Be the go-to person for design challenges, whether answering questions, refining work, or creating creative solutions.
- Keep an eye on multiple brand guidelines simultaneously, handling each client’s identity carefully.
- Catch and fix inconsistencies, ensuring all creative work looks and feels cohesive across every platform.

Role Requirements
- A genuine curiosity and passion for brands and their stories with a commitment to maintaining their integrity.
- An eye for attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies and ensure alignment with brand guidelines across various mediums.
- Good communication skills to articulate brand guidelines, provide feedback, and communicate effectively with both creative teams and clients.
- Comfortable working alongside creative teams and contributing to the creative process while ensuring brand consistency.
- Capable of quickly adapting to changes in brand guidelines or project directions and effectively communicating these changes to the team.
- Skilled at identifying potential brand inconsistencies or issues and finding practical solutions.
- Familiarity with design software (e.g Adobe Creative Suite) to review creative assets accurately.

- Minimum 10 years in the similar field
KPI’s
- Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain 100% client retention by resolving communication and delivery issues while ensuring new clients are onboarded smoothly and transition seamlessly into ongoing projects.
- Work closely with the Studio and Project Manager to ensure 100% of projects stay on schedule and maintain a minimum 90% first-time approval rate from clients.
- Spot potential risks early and work with the Studio and Project Manager to address them within 24 hours to prevent delays or quality concerns.
- Ensure you and your team log time daily, maintaining 100% accuracy in time tracking.
- Ensure that 100% of design work meets brand guidelines and maintains high creative standards.
- Improve efficiency by cutting down delays and making workflows more effective.
- Build a culture of accountability and high creative standards within the team to increase the first-time approval rate by 5% in the next 3 months.
