About The Role

We are seeking full-time Human Resource (HR) Specialists to join our HR Remote Operations Center (HRROCâ„¢). This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to support federal agencies in various HR functions, including hiring, classification, personnel actions, and employee lifecycle management. The HR Specialist will be responsible for processing a wide range of HR activities such as noncompetitive hiring actions, personnel requests, security upgrades, and offboarding procedures. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will support onboarding and offboarding processes, assist in developing job analyses, and ensure compliance with federal HR policies and procedures. This position offers the chance to work within a friendly, collaborative team environment with access to ongoing training from industry experts, fostering professional development and growth.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Experience in classification and staffing of Federal HR positions
  • Proficiency in compiling and submitting Personnel Action Requests (PARs) for processing
  • Experience with HR systems such as HRConnect, USA Staffing (USAS), and the National Finance Center (NFC)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and ability to foster collaboration
  • Attention to detail, data quality, and data integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to interpret and apply Federal HR laws, policies, and agency-specific procedures
  • BS/BA degree highly preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support HR activities including processing noncompetitive hiring actions, PAR actions, change of duty station requests, relocations, incentives, and security upgrades
  • Submit HR-related tickets and actions ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Assist hiring managers in classifying Position Descriptions and developing job analyses for recruitment
  • Coordinate and track personnel actions throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and stakeholder communication
  • Utilize HR systems to submit and process personnel actions such as hiring, reassignments, and employee benefits
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including paperwork completion, database entry, badge appointments, and GFE issuance
  • Support data collection and analysis for HR-related audits, data calls, and payroll audits
  • Assist with employee performance management, SES, political appointees, and training programs as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal HR policies and procedures
