Job Description
We are seeking a Simulation Engineer to develop, maintain, and validate simulation models for aircraft aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and control systems. This role involves building MATLAB/Simulink models, implementing simulation logic using C++, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure accurate and regulatory-aligned simulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and validate simulation models for aircraft aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and control systems.
- Build and refine MATLAB/Simulink models to support model-based design, analysis, and testing.
- Implement simulation logic and performance models using C++ for integration with broader simulation frameworks.
- Support simulation-based evaluation of aircraft behavior across nominal and off-nominal conditions.
- Collaborate with systems, controls, and flight test engineers to correlate simulation results with real-world flight data.
- Contribute to certification-oriented simulation efforts, including environments aligned with FAA Part 60 where applicable.
- Support verification, validation, and documentation of simulation models to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment.

- Understanding of aircraft aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and control systems.
- Hands-on experience developing models using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Professional experience with C++.
- Experience working with or supporting flight test data, including model correlation or validation.
- Experience working collaboratively across simulation, systems, and controls engineering teams.
- Master's or PhD in engineering or related field.
- Experience with FAA Part 60 simulation environments or certification-related simulation efforts.
- Experience supporting autonomous, optionally piloted, or advanced aircraft systems.
- Familiarity with verification and validation of simulation models in regulated aerospace environments.
- Experience integrating Simulink models into larger software or simulation frameworks.
- Exposure to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), or model-in-the-loop (MIL) environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $66.00/hr.
