Senior Network Engineer โ€“ Network Architecture & Resiliency Analysis

Location: NY/NJ Area (Remote) | Occasional travel to California

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with advanced telecommunications expertise to lead a comprehensive resiliency analysis across On-Premises, Hybrid Cloud, and Public Cloud network environments. The focus will be on identifying and remediating Single Points of Failure (SPOF) and Points of Entry (POE), including telco circuit diversity, physical path analysis, and vendor coordination.

This role also includes program management responsibilities, tracking remediation progress across infrastructure teams, and maintaining reporting metrics and dashboards for stakeholder visibility.

Responsibilities

Resiliency Analysis & Architecture Review

  • Perform SPOF and POE analysis across On-Premises, Hybrid Cloud, and Public Cloud networks.
  • Assess and document telco circuit diversity, vendor KMZ path analysis, POEs, conduit routing, and patching infrastructure.
  • Identify physical and logical resiliency gaps and recommend actionable remediation strategies.
  • Coordinate with telco vendors and internal teams on provisioning, planning, and circuit diversity initiatives.

Program Tracking & Reporting

  • Track and manage resiliency remediation programs across multiple infrastructure support teams.

Lifecycle & Standards Management

  • Support hardware and software lifecycle management in remediation planning.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of advanced networking experience with a strong telecommunications background.
  • Expertise in network resiliency, telco provisioning and planning, and network security design.
  • Hands-on experience with telco circuit diversity, vendor KMZ path analysis, POEs, conduit mapping, and patching infrastructure.
  • Proven experience managing hardware/software lifecycles.
  • Strong project management and reporting skills for complex, multi-team programs.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to present technical findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Quick learner able to adopt new tools to meet program objectives.
  • Must be based in the NY/NJ area with willingness to travel to California occasionally.

Technical Expertise

  • Telco: Provisioning & planning, circuit diversity, vendor coordination, KMZ path analysis, POE/conduit/patching
  • Traffic Analysis & Monitoring: Niksun, NetScout, Wireshark
  • Flow Analysis: NetFlow / Cisco StealthWatch


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scripting/automation (Python, Ansible, or similar) to support network analysis and reporting workflows.
  • Familiarity with public cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with large-scale telco resiliency or diversity programs in complex enterprise environments.
  • Relevant certifications: CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent.
