What is the role?
- Provide day-to-day, on-site IT support from the mine site office.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues at the work location.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware, software, printers, and peripherals.
- Diagnose, repair, or replace damaged hardware and resolve system and application issues.
- Install and upgrade operating systems and security software.
- Create and manage user accounts and mailboxes.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and Webmail issues.
- Support Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and establish new connections as required.
- Support wired and wireless networks, including switches, cabling, and Wi-Fi access points.
- Work with corporate IT teams and other sites on network, systems, and infrastructure projects.
- Perform daily system and data backups.
- Proactively create and maintain technical documentation.
- Ensure site IT operations align with corporate standards, governance, and security policies.
- Collaborate with senior IT team members to improve systems and network performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What do you need to have?
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an ITSupport Technician or Help Desk role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows PC and Server operating systems.
- Experience supporting PC, server, and storage hardware.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Cisco (CCNA or equivalent)Â
- Microsoft certifications are considered strong assets.
- MCSE certification is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and Webmail.
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment, including switches and routers.
- Working knowledge of Cisco IOS and basic network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with network switches, structured cabling, and network printers.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Wi-Fi access points and wireless networks.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to site locations as required.
