A Day in the Life of the Senior DevOps Engineer
In this role, you’ll design, build, and scale a secure, compliant, multi-tenant cloud platform powering mission-critical government and healthcare systems. You’ll sit at the core of the Platform Engineering team, driving cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, security enablement, AI platform support, and reliability engineering initiatives. Your work will directly impact how millions of Americans access critical food and health programs through a modern, government-grade SaaS platform.

Responsibilities include:
• Design and operate cloud-native infrastructure in AWS
• Build and maintain internal platform services for CI/CD, environment provisioning, secrets management, identity, observability, and configuration management
• Implement multi-tenant isolation patterns
• Architect and maintain high-availability systems
• Develop resilient deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, progressive delivery)
• Define and implement SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
• Lead incident response efforts and build reliability playbooks
• Drive FinOps initiatives and cloud cost optimization
• Embed security-by-design across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Automate security scanning, IaC policy enforcement, and secrets rotation
• Support compliance frameworks including HIPAA, SOC 2, FedRAMP, and NIST
• Integrate security and GRC tooling into the platform ecosystem
• Manage Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Helm, and GitOps
• Orchestrate Kubernetes-based systems
• Design secure network architectures and zero-trust patterns

Requirements and Qualifications:
• 4+ years of DevOps or Platform Engineering experience
• 3+ years of cloud-native architecture experience
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS
• RAG pipeline experience and LLM-supporting infrastructure knowledge
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes
• U.S. Citizen or valid U.S. work authorization and currently residing in the U.S.
• Experience working in regulated industries
