Bilingual People Ops Specialist (Contract - Leave Coverage) | 100% Remote (PST Hours)
U.S. and Costa Rica workforce management, position must be located in the United States.-Please Note.
Engagement Details
- Type: W2 Contract (no C2C)
- Pay Rate: $30-$32/hr W2 (Please note, we are unable to exceed this pay-rate range)
- Work Location: 100% Remote (Must be U.S. based)
- Time Zone Requirement: Must be able to work PST business hours

Required Qualifications (Please review carefully)
- 1-2 years of experience in HR, People Operations, HR administration, or a closely related function.
- Must be fluent in Spanish, particularly for supporting employee populations across multiple regions.
- Exposure to Costa Rica-related employment support HIGHLY PREFERRED
Vaco Highspring is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a Global Enterprise Organization for a People Operations Specialist to support core HR service delivery during a leave coverage period. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for employees and internal stakeholders, helping ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of onboarding, employment records, and day-to-day People Operations processes.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will provide front-line People Operations support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and general HR process guidance-while partnering cross-functionally to drive consistent, high-quality people services. This is a temporary contract role supporting a coverage need.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate weekly new hire orientation and complete first-day onboarding documentation, ensuring all required employment records are accurate and properly filed.
- Prepare, review, and maintain employment documentation including personnel files, I-9 processing, and related records for hires in the U.S., Canada, and LATAM.
- Support E-Verify workflows and assist with international transfer support as needed.
- Review and communicate payroll and benefits information during new hire orientation.
- Provide operational support for the organization's contingent worker and partner/contractor populations (intake, guidance, coordination, and basic process support).
- Conduct and/or support monthly audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance across People Operations processes.
- Participate as a contributor on HR initiatives/projects supporting people programs, process improvements, and business growth.
- Support day-to-day People Operations guidance aligned to broader HR strategy and business needs.
- Manage HRIS updates including data entry and employee changes in Workday.
