We are seeking a hands-on Mid–Senior Roku Developer to design, develop, and optimize OTT streaming applications. You will work on BrightScript and SceneGraph, integrating content feeds and video playback features while ensuring high performance across Roku devices.
This role is 100% remote, offering an opportunity to own end-to-end Roku app development in a fast-paced streaming environment.
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Contract Type: W2 (Health and 401k Benefits) or C2C
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Roku apps using BrightScript
- Create reusable, scalable UI components using SceneGraph
- Integrate with REST APIs, content feeds, and authentication services
- Implement HLS/DASH adaptive streaming
- Optimize performance and memory usage across Roku devices
- Debug playback, DRM, and streaming-related issues
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver pixel-perfect interfaces
- Lead code reviews and enforce development standards
- Package, deploy, and release Roku channels
- Troubleshoot production issues and monitor app performance

Required Skills
- 4–8+ years software development experience
- 3+ years Roku development experience
