Role: Senior / Staff Software Engineer – AI Core Systems

Tech Stack: Python, C++/Java, AWS, GCP, Kafka, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, MLOps

Compensation: $200,000–$300,000 base + bonus

Location: NYC (Hybrid 4 days a week in-office, relocation available)

The firm is fully committed to building an AI powerhouse and expanding its AI Core Engineering team, the group responsible for designing and scaling the systems behind next-generation AI-driven research and trading platforms.

You’d be joining a small, senior engineering team that’s building at scale, solving complex distributed problems, and driving the foundation of the firm’s AI strategy. Your work will have a firm-wide impact, shaping how data, research, and trading teams utilise AI, with direct visibility to senior leadership and the C-suite.

You’ll work on:

• Building and scaling distributed systems for AI and data pipelines
• Designing infrastructure for model training, orchestration, and inference
• Optimizing performance, reliability, and system throughput
• Collaborating closely with ML engineers, data scientists, and researchers

They’re looking for:

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong in Python, and C++ or Java
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, messaging, and data pipelines
• Experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, and tools like Kafka, ClickHouse, or Postgres
• Background in ML infrastructure or large-scale data environments is a plus
• Clear communication, technical depth, and an ownership mindset
