We are looking for an experienced engineer to join a core team supporting a Mission Operations System within a European institutional ground segment environment.
This role combines system engineering, integration and verification, DevOps lifecycle management, anomaly investigation, and operational support. You will contribute directly to systems used for spacecraft monitoring and control.

Requirements
- more than 5 years of experience in ground segment, mission operations, or mission control systems
- Strong system engineering background (requirements, architecture, interfaces)
- Experience in integration and verification of complex systems
- Experience in structured engineering environments with formal reviews
- Solid Linux engineering experience
- Experience with configuration management and CI/CD practices
- Knowledgeable in Java and/or C/C++, scripting (Bash/Python), SQL (MariaDB/MySQL), Git, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab), Docker, build tools (Maven/Gradle), SysML/UML, CCSDS/ECSS PUS, and Linux/Windows environments.
- Experience with ESA ground segment tools or similar mission control product suites is a strong advantage

- Define and manage system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and traceability.
- Support formal review milestones (PDR, CDR, TRR, TRB) and maintain controlled technical documentation.
- Define integration and verification strategies across the system lifecycle.
- Develop and execute test scenarios, procedures, and formal test campaigns.
- Produce verification evidence, test reports, and compliance documentation.
- Investigate anomalies, regressions, and non‑conformances end‑to‑end.
- Identify root causes across subsystems and coordinate resolution with engineering teams.
- Support change management activities and system evolution.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Support operational rehearsals, critical activities, and provide technical support to users.
