Job Description

Senior Full Stack Engineer

SiSU Health | Remote | Digital Health

Company Description

SiSU Health is building the ecosystem for preventative health at scale — combining medical devices, digital journeys and data intelligence to improve individual and population health outcomes.

We are a fast-paced, mission-driven scale-up — focused on growth, accelerating product delivery, strengthening our commercial propositions and expanding our impact.

We operate at the intersection of:

  • NHS and B2B population health programmes
  • Connected medical devices (Health Stations)
  • Consumer-facing apps and personalised digital journeys
  • Data intelligence and commercial insight products

As we scale, we are strengthening our engineering capability to improve delivery velocity, reliability and platform resilience

Role description

This is a remote role for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong skillset in platform & DevOps.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role working across platform development, integrations, infrastructure and security. You will operate within a lean engineering team and work closely with Product and senior leadership to deliver roadmap priorities at pace.

You will contribute across a connected ecosystem that includes:

  • Web applications and digital health journeys
  • Data pipelines and insight capabilities
  • NHS and third-party integrations
  • Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
  • Security, compliance and release discipline

We are looking for someone who can combine strong full stack development with practical DevOps capability — someone comfortable moving between feature delivery, infrastructure optimisation and security improvements

What you will be responsible for:-

  • Delivering priority roadmap features across front-end and back-end components
  • Supporting and improving NHS and third-party integrations
  • Contributing to scalable, reusable platform architecture
  • Maintaining and optimising cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines and release processes
  • Improving monitoring, logging and deployment stability
  • Supporting security improvements
  • Strengthening engineering quality and release discipline
  • Reducing defect leakage and improving platform reliability
  • Collaborating closely with Product to translate complex requirements into pragmatic technical solutions

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong full stack development experience (modern JS stack such as Node.js / React or similar)
  • AWS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, CI/CD Setup, Automated Testing, Test First Approach, Relational Database
  • Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and infrastructure management
  • Solid understanding of application security and secure coding practices
  • Experience operating in lean, fast-paced scale-up environments
  • Ability to work across multiple concurrent workstreams

Highly desirable:

  • Experience with health data platforms or regulated environments
  • MySQL, CDK, GitHub & GitHub Actions, Amplify, Cognito, ECS and Docker, Lamdba
  • Exposure to NHS integrations or healthcare systems
  • Design/Build of resilient systems across multi AZ
  • Experience contributing to ISO27001, GDPR or security compliance improvements
  • Experience improving QA discipline and release governance

Who will thrive!

  • You take ownership beyond writing code
  • You are comfortable balancing feature delivery with infrastructure and security needs
  • You enjoy solving messy, real-world technical problems
  • You can operate with autonomy in a small, high-trust team
  • You care about impact as much as implementation

This is a role with scope to grow as the company scales.

If you want to help build the infrastructure behind preventative, data-driven healthcare — and operate at pace in a mission-led scale-up — we’d love to hear from you.
