Payroll Manager
Fully Remote (UK Based)
£35,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
Reporting to: Head of Accounting
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of payroll delivery across a portfolio of high-growth, technology-led clients.
This is a fully remote role within a modern, paperless accounting environment. You will manage monthly payroll end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing across salaries, statutory payments, pensions and HMRC filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of payroll clients independently
- Process monthly payroll using BrightPay Connect
- Oversee RTI submissions, statutory payments and reconciliations
- Manage workplace pensions and auto-enrolment compliance
- Prepare and manage P11Ds and benefits reporting
- Liaise directly with HMRC to resolve payroll queries
- Ensure payroll data integrates accurately into accounting systems (including Xero)
- Support continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes

About You
- 5+ years’ UK payroll experience (practice or bureau preferred)
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions and benefits compliance
- Confident using BrightPay Cloud
- Experienced managing multiple clients independently
- Highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable working remotely
