- The AWS Network Architect designs the target network architecture for a large migration into two separate AWS Organizations. They define scalable IP addressing, VPC and Transit Gateway topology, routing segmentation, and secure ingress/egress patterns using services such as Direct Connect, VPN, and PrivateLink. The role establishes landing zone networking standards, ensures organizational isolation with controlled interconnectivity, and delivers reusable infrastructure patterns so migration waves can onboard consistently.
- During execution, the architect supports wave planning, hybrid connectivity, and cutover readiness while partnering with migration, security, and application teams. They validate routing and firewall policies, design observability and traffic inspection, and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues. The role provides technical governance to ensure both AWS Organizations achieve resilient, compliant, and cost-optimized connectivity throughout the migration.
