We’re hiring a genuine Django Subject Matter Expert to lead the build of a high-performance FastAPI application within AWS. We need a senior engineer who understands backend architecture properly and can deliver from day one - scalable, secure and production-ready. You’ll drive design decisions, own implementation standards and set best practice across the backend estate.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing and delivering production-grade Django applications

• Leading AWS architecture decisions (application + infrastructure)

• Building robust REST / CRUD APIs

• Implementing secure authentication, authorisation and SSO patterns

• Debugging AWS networking and performance issues

• Optimising resource consumption (CPU, memory, storage, network)

• Embedding secure coding standards and mitigating backend attack vectors

What You Need:

• 4+ years commercial Django experience

• Strong track record delivering RESTful APIs in production

• Deep AWS experience across application and infrastructure layers

• Experience working with infrastructure-as-code

• Strong understanding of backend security risks and mitigation
