Job Description
Company Overview
Litehouse is an experience management and data platform originally incubated within the H&S Ventures portfolio and now operating as an independent company. The platform unifies data systems, operational intelligence, and customer experience activation to enable seamless management of connected environments and measurable return on experience (ROX).
Litehouse serves smart venues, live entertainment operators, and mixed-use districts by consolidating fragmented technologies into a cohesive, intelligent operating system. By bringing together data, AI, and experience orchestration, Litehouse enables operators to better understand their environments, act in real time, and continuously improve the experiences they deliver.
Litehouse is built by a multidisciplinary team operating at the intersection of customer insight, product strategy, and design-led execution. The company is evolving from incubation into a scalable, market-ready platform, with a strong emphasis on platform architecture, operational rigor, and customer-driven innovation.
Role Summary
Litehouse is seeking a foundational Product Designer to help shape, clarify, and evolve a complex, operator-facing platform as we prepare for go-to-market. This role is for a designer who values autonomy and is biased towards action, fluent in systems and workflows, and excited to co-create product direction (not simply execute against predefined designs).
As a close partner to the Chief Product Officer, you will help carry forward product ideas by applying strong design judgment, systems thinking, and practical UX craft to problems that are still being defined. You will be instrumental in establishing clear information architecture and usable workflows across Litehouse’s product ecosystem, ensuring that what we build is understandable, coherent, and ready for real-world use by operators.
This is not a greenfield redesign role. Litehouse already has a living product ecosystem with real users, real constraints, and real momentum. Your objective is to improve and extend what exists—bringing clarity, consistency, and usability—while moving quickly and pragmatically. Success in this role requires comfort working within constraints, advocating for thoughtful design decisions, and producing assets that engineering teams can confidently build against.
Core Responsibilities
Product & Platform Design
- Partner closely with the Chief Product Officer to explore product ideas and translate emerging concepts into clear, usable designs.
- Design and refine information architecture and end-to-end workflows across Litehouse’s operator-facing platform, with a focus on clarity, usability, and coherence.
- Work within existing user experiences and design patterns to improve clarity and usability, while remaining open to incremental enhancements as the platform evolves.
- Balance speed and quality by making thoughtful design decisions that improve usability and comprehension, while supporting rapid iteration and delivery.
Design Execution & Delivery
- Produce high-quality, engineerable design artifacts (flows, wireframes, mockups, interaction details) that clearly communicate intent and reduce ambiguity during implementation.
- Collaborate with engineering partners to ensure designs are feasible, well understood, and aligned with technical realities.
- Iterate on designs based on technical feedback, user needs, and real-world constraints.
- Support feature development through launch, including reviewing builds, assisting with user acceptance testing (UAT), and validating that implemented experiences match design intent.
- Apply and extend Litehouse’s design systems, visual standards, and brand guidelines to ensure consistency and cohesion across the platform.

Product Thinking & Collaboration
- Contribute to product discovery by asking thoughtful questions, identifying edge cases, and helping define problems before jumping to solutions.
- Help articulate user needs and workflows, including writing or refining user stories and acceptance criteria when helpful.
- Advocate for quality design decisions while remaining pragmatic and collaborative in a fast-moving environment.
- Work effectively in a lean product organization without dedicated product managers, taking ownership of design decisions within agreed-upon scope.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce friction, and improve overall usability as the product ecosystem evolves.
- Help establish and reinforce design consistency across the platform as new features are added.
- Learn from shipped work and real user feedback to inform future design decisions.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Capabilities
- Experience designing digital products with real users, real constraints, and real delivery timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to design clear, usable workflows and interfaces for complex or information-rich products.
- Ability to translate product ideas and user needs into concrete, engineerable designs, including flows, wireframes, and detailed UI specifications.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly to product, engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with collaborating closely with engineers and adapting designs based on technical constraints and feedback.
- Proficiency in Figma as a primary design and collaboration tool.

Ways of Working
- Comfort working in ambiguity and collaborating early in the problem-definition phase, not just executing against fully formed requirements.
- Willingness and ability to contribute beyond visual design, including helping articulate user stories, edge cases, and acceptance criteria when needed.
- Attention to detail and follow-through, including reviewing implemented features and supporting user acceptance testing to ensure designs are realized as intended.
Culture & Fit
Litehouse is a lean, focused product team that values trust, ownership, and autonomy. We look for people who are comfortable taking initiative, working collaboratively, and making thoughtful decisions in an environment where strategy is still being shaped and clarified.
This role is a strong fit for a designer who enjoys being close to the product, partnering directly with product and engineering, and contributing to real outcomes rather than operating within rigid processes or large organizational structures. You should be comfortable working in a lean environment where progress depends on clear communication, pragmatic decision-making, and shared alignment.
We value curiosity, humility, and follow-through. Strong candidates bring opinions and advocate for them thoughtfully, while remaining open to feedback and iteration. We prioritize clarity over cleverness, progress over perfection, and long-term product quality over short-term polish.
Benefits & Working Environment
- Flexible paid time off, with an emphasis on maintaining a sustainable pace and ensuring appropriate coverage.
- Support for professional development and learning that meaningfully improves craft and product judgment.
- Opportunity to work on a long-horizon product with real customers, real constraints, and a clear path to market.
- Remote-first, distributed team with an emphasis on clear communication, documentation, and focused work.
- Meaningful ownership and influence as part of a small, senior product team shaping a foundational platform.
- Direct collaboration with product and engineering leadership, without layers or handoffs.
Scope & Expectations
You are expected to operate with meaningful autonomy within the scope of the product areas they support. This role owns day-to-day design decisions related to user experience, workflows, and interface clarity across the Litehouse platform, in close partnership with the Chief Product Officer and engineering leads.
You are empowered to propose, iterate on, and refine design solutions that improve usability and coherence within the existing product ecosystem. Major shifts in product direction, platform architecture, or long-term experience strategy are developed collaboratively with the CPO.
Design decisions are made with delivery in mind. You will work closely with engineering to ensure solutions are feasible, well understood, and ready for implementation, while maintaining accountability for design quality through build review and user acceptance testing.
