We enable our crypto, banking and ewallet customers to seamlessly scan and pay local QR codes across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Currently operational in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brazil, Argentina, Boliva and Peru. We have 40 more countries across the globe to integrate with this year.

We are looking for our third, fourth and fifth developer to add to our growing team. We are a venture backed startup with an opportunity for you to also earn equity / ownership.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with a deep focus on payments API integrations to lead the development of our automated payout infrastructure. Your primary mission will be to integrate with various fintech partners across the world for scalable "money-out" flows that disburse funds programmatically to global bank accounts and digital e-wallets through their local payout rails.

We are also looking for someone with cryptocurrency experience as it relates specifically to receiving stablecoins (USDT/USDC) on various blockchains.

About the Role

• Position: 40 hours+/week
• Work setup: Fully remote, in the Philippines.
• Compensation: Base salary: TBD + equity

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Payout Integration: Implement RESTful/SOAP integrations with global fintech payout providers.
• Crypto Infrastructure: Build and manage integrations with major blockchains (Tron, Polygon, Solana) to facilitate stablecoin acceptance
• Wallet & Key Management: Implement secure interactions with custody providers or self-custody solutions to sign and broadcast transactions safely.
• Automated Disbursement Logic: Develop robust systems supporting real-time settlements.
• Resilience & Error Handling: Build "fail-safe" mechanisms, including request handling (to prevent double-payouts), circuit breakers for vendor outages, and automated retry logic.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: Develop automated ledger reconciliation tools that cross-reference internal transaction records with external bank statements and API webhooks.
• Security First: Implement bank-level security, including PCI-DSS compliance, data encryption at rest/transit, and secure tokenization of sensitive financial data.
• Verification & Compliance: Integrate payment monitoring to support our compliance department for identifying suspicious activity.
• Crypto wallet monitoring: Analyse incoming stablecoin payments and run their wallets through known crypto wallet compliance tools.

Required Technical Skills

• Languages: Proficiency in Node.js, Python, Go, or Java (MVC frameworks).
• API Expertise: Deep understanding of RESTful architecture, webhooks, and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Web3/Blockchain: Hands-on experience with Web3.js, Ethers.js, or Solana/web3.js. Deep understanding of gas optimization and smart contract interactions.
• Stablecoin Knowledge: Deep understanding of the specific standards for USDT, USDC across multiple chains.
• Database Management: Strong SQL skills for complex transaction auditing and maintaining data consistency.
• DevOps/Cloud: Experience deploying to AWS/GCP/Azure with a focus on high-availability and security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fintech Experience: 5+ years of experience specifically in payouts or banking-as-a-service (BaaS).
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with "Atomic Settlements," instant payment rails, and regional e-wallet ecosystems.
• QR Technology: Hands-on experience with QR decoding libraries and understanding the data structures of regional standards (e.g., UPI, SGQR, or QRPH)
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to troubleshoot complex transaction failures and perform root-cause analysis on payment discrepancies.
