Job Description
What’s Awesome About Our Client?
- Join a growing Client Accounting Services firm that’s built a reputation for doing payroll right — and is ready to take it to the next level
- You’ll be the go-to payroll expert, not just another processor
- Fully remote, part-time position (20-25 hrs a week) with real ownership
- Collaborative, values-driven culture running on EOS — clear goals, accountability, and a roadmap
Why This Job – Part-Time Senior Payroll Specialist
Our client is a Montana based consulting firm that serves as the outsourced accounting department for small businesses. Their team supports clients across the full spectrum of finance including bookkeeping, payroll, controller support, and CFO level strategy. Instead of just delivering reports, they help business owners actually understand and run their companies better.
The team is small, collaborative, and genuinely values how they work together. Creativity, honesty, strong relationships, and following through on commitments are part of the culture. People enjoy working here because their work matters and their voice carries weight.
Payroll is already one of the firm’s most successful service lines. Clients rely on it, margins are strong, and the demand continues to grow. The opportunity now is to take it to the next level. They are looking for someone who can step in, take ownership, and help shape how payroll services evolve as the firm grows.
This is not a behind the scenes processing role. The right person understands what it means to support multiple clients at once while still making each one feel taken care of. If you have worked in public accounting or an outsourced payroll environment before, you already know the rhythm. Anticipate issues before they become problems, communicate clearly, and deliver work clients can rely on.
