What To Expect
We are seeking an experienced Cyberseecurity Architect with a strong focus on cloud security and hybrid environments to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing the overall security strategy across cloud and on-premises infrastructures, including COLO (colocation) data centers. The ideal candidate will have a holistic view of security, a proven track record in disaster recovery planning, and will be the main point of contact with third-party data centers. This role requires close collaboration with IT Engineers to ensure security protocols are properly implemented and continuously optimized in a healthcare environment.
Security Architecture Design & Implementation
- Develop and implement robust security architectures for cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring they meet business needs and HIPAA regulatory requirements.
- Focus on securing cloud services (AWS and Azure) while integrating security measures for on-premise (COLO) infrastructure.

- Design and oversee the implementation of security controls for cloud platforms, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and logging.
- Develop solutions that ensure seamless security across the hybrid infrastructure (COLO and Cloud).
- Own the design, development, and execution of the Disaster Recovery (DR) plan for both cloud and on-prem systems.
- Ensure regular DR tests and updates to the plan, adapting to changing business needs and emerging threats.
- Serve as the primary security point of contact with third-party colocation (COLO) providers.
- Ensure data center compliance with the organization’s security policies and ensure SLAs are met.
Must Haves:
Competencies & Skills
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure, with certifications preferred (AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, etc.).
- Experience with colocation (COLO) data centers and on-prem infrastructure.
- Proven experience in Disaster Recovery planning and execution.
- Strong understanding of network security, encryption, identity management, and incident response.
- Experience with compliance and industry regulations (ISO 27001, HITRUST CSF, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or Zero Trust Architecture.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
