Full Stack Engineer

We’re nowon AG, an early-stage Swiss startup in stealth mode, backed by Innosuisse and leading music-industry investors. Our mission is to reimagine how live events are organized and reported, ensuring copyright compliance and transparency through our in house AI-powered music recognition and B2B products. We’re a small but strong interdisciplinary team of live music professionals, product owners, music AI researchers, and engineers, working fully remote across Europe. Together we combine deep R&D with real-world product expertise, building systems that will be used directly by artists, festivals and other key music industry stakeholders. Who you are

We’re building fast, and we’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer based in Spain who’s excited to move between backend and frontend, shipping user-facing products while scaling reliable systems. The systems you build won’t just live in code; they’ll be used by artists, event organizers, and music industry stakeholders to streamline live performance reporting and unlock new possibilities in the music ecosystem.

• You have hands-on experience building and deploying backend and/or frontend systems for products.


• You enjoy working across the stack, from backend services to frontend components.


• You’re curious, creative, and excited to solve problems in a small, ambitious team.

Your responsibilities

• Build and scale backend services with Python (FastAPI).


• Design and manage data models, migrations, and storage (PostgreSQL, Redis).


• Implement and maintain distributed background jobs.

• Develop modern frontend components with React/TypeScript.


• Own features end-to-end: design, development, deployment, and maintenance.


• Integrate third-party APIs into internal systems.


• Contribute directly to product and culture in a flat, agile team.

You’ll be great at this if you

• Have real-world experience shipping scalable backend and frontend systems.


• Are comfortable across the Python backend stack: REST/WebSockets, DB design, management, migrations (PostgreSQL, Redis, ORMs), distributed jobs.


• Write modern frontend: React (or similar), HTML/CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript.


• Are passionate about writing clean and pragmatic code.


• Think in product outcomes, not just tickets—love fast feedback loops.


• Work autonomously, communicate crisply, and raise the bar for the team.


• Are based in Spain.

Bonus points

• Familiarity with distributed task processing systems (eg: Celery, Kafka, AWS SQS, RabbitMQ, etc.).


• Cloud Infra and DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions etc.


• Track record of shipping user-facing products.


• Passion for live music, whether as a musician, DJ, engineer, or through hands-on experience with concerts, festivals, or the live entertainment industry.


• Interest in music, audio processing and AI systems.
